About This Course

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training provides a comprehensive and advanced level of safety education for those involved in the construction industry. It equips participants with the knowledge and skills to manage risks, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety. This course is pivotal for individuals looking to excel in the construction field while prioritizing workplace safety.

Our OSHA Outreach course is taught by an OSHA-Authorized trainer and meets all OSHA training requirements. The OSHA 30-Hour Training covers safety standards and workplace hazards, among other requirements.

This OSHA-aligned training program is an essential orientation to occupational safety and health under OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Specific construction hazards require additional mandatory training for worker safety. Upon course and survey completion, students receive an OSHA 30-hour Construction Industry Outreach DOL card within two (2) weeks. Please note that this 30-hour course doesn’t fulfill prerequisites for OSHA 500 or 501 courses.

NOTE:

  • The 30-Hour Construction Outreach course is NOT equivalent to the OSHA 510 or 511 courses and does not meet the course prerequisites to take the OSHA 500 or 501 courses.
  • For OSHA Outreach courses, it typically takes two (2) weeks to receive your plastic OSHA DOL card. To ensure your card isn’t delayed, please verify that your mailing address is correct in your profile. All cards are mailed via USPS First Class.
  • The 30-Hour OSHA Outreach Training provides all training materials.

Testing

At the end of each module, you are given a 10 question module quiz. Score at least 70% on each module quiz before moving forward. You have three attempts to pass each module quiz. Failure to successfully pass the third quiz results in being locked out of the course. After being locked out, you can not continue with an online training format for your outreach training.

After completing the modules, you must pass a final exam to receive full credit for the course. The final exam is 20 questions long and tests your knowledge of the information covered throughout the course. To pass, you need at least a score of at least 70%. You get three opportunities to pass the final exam. If you do not pass it after the third try, you are locked out of this course and cannot complete your outreach training in an online format.

Time to Completion

You have six months from your course enrollment date to complete the 30-hour Construction Outreach Training. After six months, your account expires, and you are required to purchase the course again.

A temporary printable certificate is available immediately upon successful completion of the course. Passing participants receive a DOL Construction Outreach course completion wallet card within two weeks.

In order to receive your DOL Wallet Card, you must complete the survey at the end of the course.

OSHA 30 is Outreach training for those with supervisory duties. This training is intended for safety directors, field supervisors, and forepersons. This 30-hour course covers an extensive range of topics that teach supervisors the rules for everyone working under their supervision.

30-Hour courses differ in various industries. There is OSHA 30 Construction specifically for construction workers and OSHA 30 General Industry for everyone else.

An OSHA-10 course is also offered for entry-level workers by our online training provider. The OSHA-10 hour training is also offered for construction workers and general industry which both satisfy OSHA-Authorized training. Although DOL cards do not expire at the federal level, some states and industries have unique requirements. We recommend training renewal every 3-4 years to stay updated on Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulation changes.

OSHA 30 is best suited for workers and supervisors who have job site safety responsibilities. The online safety training program emphasizes hazard control, avoidance, prevention, and identification for OSHA standards. The following are positions that require OSHA 30 training.

Head of People
This hands-on role manages the day-to-day needs of HR, including benefits administration, onboarding, audits, open enrollment, and offboarding.

Assistant Superintendent
Assistant superintendents oversee, coordinate, and manage project trade partners. They also supervise employees and contractors.

Foreman
A foreman is a senior worker who oversees a construction crew.

Safety Manager
Safety Managers enforce compliance with safety regulations on a job site. They review health and safety guidelines to increase workplace safety.

After completing the OSHA 30-Hour Construction Course Training, additional training may be required by an employer, but all additional training is subject to employer responsibilities.

You will receive your plastic official OSHA DOL card as soon as two (2) weeks after you complete your course and survey. The card is mailed via USPS First Class to the mailing address in your profile.

Once you successfully complete the course a pop-up will appear and you can print or download the certificate of completion to your computer, smartphone, or tablet. While you’re waiting for your DOL card to arrive, you can use the certificate of completion as proof you have successfully completed the course.
